HI! I'm Alex, I'm 12 years old, and this is MY page! My mom keeps it up for me for now because she hasn't taught me HTML or CSS yet but when she finally get's around to it I'm gonna keep it up myself! She also created the background (she's really good at stuff like that). Here's a little bit about ME:
I was Born Phillip (after my dad) Alexander McGee on October 16th 1994 (see my bio at the left). I'm kinda in the fourth grade - my mom homeschools me. I like history, science and math. You can visit Cherry Tree Academy if you want find out more about our homeschool. As you can probably tell I love dinosaurs! I think I might like to be a Paleontologist someday. For everything you ever wanted to know about dinosaurs and more check out my Dino Links on the right! Did you know that kids get arthritis too? I have Polyarticular [that means many joints] Juvenile Rheumatiod Arthritis. I was diagnosed about six weeks after my 10th birthday. To learn more about JRA visit the Arthritis Foundation.
Have you read the Dinotopia books? I did a long time ago (actually I listened while my mom & dad read them). I really enjoyed them! The Hallmark Channel made them into a miniseries in 2002 - we have it on DVD - it's really cool! I got to see Dr. Bob, The Dinosaur Guy at Purdue when I was four years old. I went to his lecture and boy was it neat! Dr. Bob is a really fun guy to listen to. I got a signed copy of his books The Dinosaur Heresies & Raptor Red, he even drew a Struthomimius for me!
I collect Dinosaur figurines, so far I have: Allosaurus, Apatosaurus (& baby), Brachiosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Parasaurolophus (& baby), Stegosaurus (& baby), Styracosaurus, Therizinosaurus, Triceratops (& baby), Tyrannosaurus (& baby) & Utahraptor (& baby) from The Wild Safari Collection (by Safari LTD) and Baryonyx, Deltadromeus Agilis, Dilophosaurus, Diplodocus, Carnotaurus, Corythosaurus, Elasmosaurus, Euoplocephalus, Iguanodon, Mosasaurus, Plateosaurus, Psittacosaurus, two Pteranodons, Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus & Quetzalcoatlus from The Carnegie Collection (also by Safari LTD). I also have the Dinosaur II miniature collection with Ankylosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Dimetrodon, Protoceratops, Styracosaurus, and Velociraptor & the Dinosaur III miniature collection with Allosaurus, Diplodocus, Elasmosaurus, Iguanodon, Pteranodon & Spinosaurus - I like to pretend that they are babies (my mom bought me some jumbo plastic Easter eggs to put them in) both are from Safari LTD. Do you want to see them?
Other things I like are; Scooby-Doo, Legos (especailly Bionicles), Brio trains, Tae Kwon Do (I'm a green belt!), playing with my brother and sister, playing board games, playing on the Sega, bugging my mom when she's on the computer, and reading. I like to read comic books, especially Spiderman and Calvin and Hobbes. I also enjoy fantasy books like Harry Potter, Dragonlance and my dad's old Choose Your Own Adventure books. I recently started playing D&D with my Mom and Dad and I'm having lots of fun!
I love playing on the computer (and on the Internet when my mom will let me). Some of my favorite games to play are the Magic School Bus series. I have MSB In the Age of Dinosaurs (of course) and most of the rest of them. Other computer games I like to play are the Jumpstart 3rd grade, Dinosaur 3D Adventure, Lionel 3D Train Town, Sim Ant, and Sim Safari, Disney Magic Artist, Scooby-Doo Jinx at the Sphinx, Disney's Dinosaur Activity Center, and 3D Pinball Adventure. Take a look to the left to find out what I like to do when I'm on the Internet.
Thanks for stopping by!
