Welcome to Princess Caitlin's Realm!
Caity and I are so glad you stopped by. Here you'll find out all about our little sweat pea and what she's been up to lately.
Here I Grow!
Caity just turned three years old! She hasn't gotten a whole lot bigger (unless you count attitude - lol!). She is still very talkative, in fact she hardly ever stops (pity me and my poor, ringing ears). Her drawing skills have leaped forward. She started making spirals and circles and soon progressed into making rudimentary "people" (giant ovals with facial features [eyes, nose, mouth] and straight lines sticking out of them for arms and legs). She has taken an interest in Tae Kwon Do. I suppose it won't be too much longer before she'll want to take lessons like her big brothers. She knows most of her colors and some shapes now. She can count to about 20 without too much help and she'll hold up three fingers when you ask her how old she is. I have started working on the alphabet/phonics with her (we just love the Starfall website!) but mostly she just spends her time playing.
Caity is now two years old. She's grown more up than out over the past year gaining almost 5 inches and a few pounds while loosing a lot of her baby chub (although she's still got dimples on her elbows and knees). She's always been a chatterbox but her vocabulary and clarity is impressive. She says over 200 words that we can understand most of the time and is putting together sentences of 3-5 words. She's quite capable of carrying on a conversation with you! She has suddenly developed a love of puppies and horses (she must have got the latter from my sister).
Caity is a year old already - where did the time go? She is about 30" and 23 lbs. now. She has 6 teeth and more coming in. She started walking right around her birthday and now there's no stopping her! She's taken an interest in food but she insists on having something to eat with, if you don't give her a fork or a spoon she throws a fit. Her favorite foods are crackers (any kind) and chicken. The only veggie she will eat is broccoli - go figure. She is really into shoes and often brings hers to me to put them on her. She says several words - there's "Mama" and "Daddy" (of course). She'll wave and say "bye," or "nigh-night," (and even blow you a kiss). One of her favorite pastimes is staring at the aquarium, she will point and say "fish" (in fact that was her first real word). She'll pat your face and say "nice," because we're always telling her to be gentle with her hands & she pets pictures of animals in books and says "soft" (actually, she uses it for people too).
Caity is 3 months old now. She weighs in at about 13 lbs. She smiles so much I've taken to calling her "Happy Sunshine Girl." She has started drooling and daddy has been calling her "Princess Drool" (gee, I wonder where he got that from?). She is really good at holding her head up when she is on her tummy. When she is on her back she crunches her tummy muscles up and rolls over onto her side which makes daddy call her a little pill bug. I suspect it won't be too long before she figures out how to roll herself completely over.
